Sleep and Obesity Telemedicine in Massachusetts
Reclaim your cognitive edge, banish brain fog, and manage your weight with private, direct-access telehealth.

Massachusetts is home to some of the brightest minds and busiest professional environments in the country. Whether you are balancing a career in Boston’s biotech sector, teaching in Worcester, or navigating a high-stress commute, mental clarity and high energy are your most valuable assets.
Yet, when you struggle with sleep apnea and stubborn weight gain, daytime sleepiness and brain fog are the inevitable results. When these occur, your productivity, mood, and long-term health take a major hit. sleepandobesitymed.com provides a premium, highly personalized virtual health experience designed to restore your physical and mental peak performance.
Overcoming the Sleep Deprivation & Brain Fog Connection
We often treat sleep as an afterthought, but your brain relies on deep sleep to flush out cellular waste and consolidate memory. When poor sleep is paired with metabolic struggles, the cognitive tax is steep:
- The Cortisol Cascade: Chronic sleep deprivation raises cortisol (the primary stress hormone), which signals your body to hold onto fat.
- Impaired Executive Function: Sleep loss and sleep apnea physically cripple the cortex, making it significantly harder to resist impulsive food choices, manage daily stress, or maintain sharp focus at work.
- The Satiety Deficit: A lack of restorative sleep alters leptin levels, leaving you feeling constantly unsatisfied and hungry after eating.
Our clinical focus is to simultaneously repair your sleep and optimize your metabolic pathway through excess weight loss and targeted treatments, giving you back your sharp mind and a healthier body.

Dr. Sangal’s Intimate Ties to Massachusetts
I first visited Boston in 1977 and immediately fell in love with the deep sense of history and peace I experienced walking the Freedom Trail. Exploring Boston Common (the oldest public park in the United States), wandering the historic cemeteries, and visiting the Paul Revere House and the Old North Church—the very birthplace of the American Revolution—left me in awe.
In 1979, I stayed with a wonderful friend who lived in Brookline. Both Brookline and Dover are situated in historic Norfolk County, the famous birthplace of four U.S. presidents and the southern terminus of Route 128. I have returned to Boston many times since, both on my own and with my family.
I will never forget one particularly dramatic flight to Boston. As our plane was taking off, the engine swallowed a goose. We felt the plane fall like a stone, and for a terrifying moment, we thought we were going to die. Thankfully, our intrepid pilot regained control and landed us safely back in Detroit. Undeterred, I boarded another plane just a few hours later, finally arriving in Boston in the middle of the night. That is how much I love visiting this state!
